We create brands, rebuild them and look after them.

We find the real problem first, then make the brand that fixes it. That can be a new brand for a new business or event, a rebrand when your business has changed, or brand management that keeps every post, page and print file in one look.

What we do

New brands, rebrands and brand management.

  • Rebrand

For a business that has changed and whose look no longer fits. Book Treasures was widening from children's books to adult readers, so we revamped its logo and carried it into a new online store.

    See rebrand work
  • Brand creation

For a new business, venue, event or program. For Kaleido we wrote the brand strategy first, then built the identity, a booking website and the interior direction for the space.

  • Brand management

For a brand that needs new work every week or every release. For ZeekersDanz we make class cards, posts and ads in the studio's black, white and yellow, so every piece looks like one studio.

How we work

Read, position, design, roll out.

Every brand project runs on the same four steps. What changes is where we start and what you get, shown side by side below.

  1. 01

    Read

We start with your brief and what you already have: your look, your records and your goals.

  2. 02

    Position

One customer, one pain, one promised result, agreed in writing before design starts.

  3. 03

    Design

We show directions, then build the one you pick into a system: logo, colour, type and guidelines.

  4. 04

    Roll out

We put the brand to work on your website, signs, print and posts, and hand over files your team can use.

Side by side

Who each kind of work is for, and what you get.

01 · Rebrand

Rebrand

A new look for a business that has changed.

Who it is for
A business whose look now sends the wrong message. Book Treasures 藏書店 was a children's bookshop widening to adult readers.
Where we start
The brand you have now, and your answers on what to keep and what to avoid.
How it runs
  1. We review the current brand and your goals.
  2. We show logo directions. Book Treasures saw four.
  3. We refine the one you pick.
  4. We carry it into your website or store.
What you get
  • Logo directions to choose from
  • The revamped logo
  • Your website or online store in the new look
Example
Book Treasures 藏書店
02 · Brand creation

Brand creation

A brand built from a name, before the doors open.

Who it is for
A new business, venue, event or program. Kaleido was one space with five uses, and nobody could yet say what it was in one sentence.
Where we start
A name and a brief.
How it runs
  1. We write the brand strategy: one purpose, one core benefit and one point of difference for each audience.
  2. We design the identity from it: logo, colour and type.
  3. We write guidelines your team can use.
  4. We put the brand where people meet it: signs, website, print and social posts.
What you get
  • A brand strategy sheet
  • Logo, colour, type and brand guidelines
  • The first pieces that use them, such as a website, signs or social templates
  • More when the idea calls for it. Assembly Market 吹雞 got a 3D mascot and an Instagram AR effect.
Examples
Kaleido, Assembly Market 吹雞
03 · Brand management

Brand management

One look, kept steady, piece after piece.

Who it is for
A brand that needs new work every week or every release. Illume Films brings a new film to Canadian screens again and again.
Where we start
Your logo, colours and type, as you have them.
How it runs
  1. We learn the brand and set up templates, like class cards and a level guide.
  2. We make each new piece in that look: posts, ads, print and web pages.
  3. We adapt it for each release, market and language.
  4. We keep the website up to date.
What you get
  • Templates in your look
  • Posts, Reels and Meta ad creative
  • Print, from posters to premiere materials
  • Web pages and banners, in English and Chinese
Examples
Illume Films, ZeekersDanz, kini Mobile, Elite Tenants

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a rebrand and a new brand?

A rebrand starts from a brand that already exists, like the Book Treasures logo we revamped. A new brand starts from a name and a brief, like Kaleido and Assembly Market 吹雞. Brand management is the work that follows: new pieces, all in one look.

Do you start with strategy?

Yes. Before anyone draws a logo, we agree in writing who the brand is for, the problem it solves and the result it promises. For Kaleido, we wrote one purpose, one core benefit and one point of difference for each audience first. See our strategy service.

What do we get at the end of a brand build?

We set the deliverables in writing before we start. For Kaleido they were a brand strategy, the logo, colour, type and brand guidelines, social media templates, a membership and booking website, the interior direction for the space, and brand and space photography.

Can you look after our brand after launch?

Yes, that is brand management. We have worked with Illume Films on 19 of its films. For ZeekersDanz we make class cards, posts, Reels and Meta ad creative in the studio's black, white and yellow.

Can you create a brand in English and Chinese?

Yes. We work in English and Chinese. The Book Treasures logo pairs 藏書店 with Book Treasures, and the Assembly Market logo is built on its Cantonese name, 吹雞.

How much does branding cost?

Every project is quoted from your brief. The quote depends on whether you need a new brand, a rebrand or ongoing brand work, how many pieces and languages you need, and your timeline. Send us a brief and we will reply with questions and next steps.

Where do you work?

We are based in Toronto and work with clients in Toronto, the GTA and Vancouver.
