Web design for Toronto businesses that need to rank, convert, and scale.

Squarespace and Wix Studio builds with SEO foundations from week one and conversion-focused information architecture, not portfolio aesthetics. Most projects fall between CA$7,500 and CA$18,500. Available in English, 中文 (繁體 + 简体), and 한국어. Multilingual sites with hreflang and per-language SEO.

Most agency websites look impressive in the case study video and rank for nothing six months later.

This is the Toronto web design pattern we keep correcting. A site launches, the agency wins a Behance feature, and twelve weeks later the client logs into Google Search Console for the first time and sees twelve impressions a month. Lighthouse scores in the 50s. Image files at 4MB each. No schema. Title tags inherited from the platform default. The "bilingual site" is an English site with a Google Translate widget bolted to the header.

The other failure pattern is the disappearing handoff. The agency invoices the final installment, sends a Loom walkthrough, and the client is alone with a CMS they have not been trained on. Three months in, half the pages are broken and nobody is monitoring search performance.

We build for the opposite outcome. Technical SEO is wired in from the architecture phase, not patched on at QA. Information architecture is sequenced around the conversion path your customers actually take, not around the gallery your designer wants to show. Every project includes a 90-day post-launch monitoring window where we watch GSC, fix what is broken, and hand over a site you can run.

Our 4-phase framework.

1. Discovery (week 1 to 2). Audience research, content audit of the existing site, conversion goals workshop, competitor scan across the top three Toronto search results for your primary keyword. We define who the site is for, what jobs it has to do, and which pages will carry the SEO load. Deliverable: Site Strategy Document.

2. Information architecture and content strategy (week 3). Sitemap, page-by-page content briefs, SEO keyword map across primary, secondary, and supporting pages. We finalize the URL structure, internal link logic, and what schema each template needs before any designer opens Figma. Deliverable: Site Architecture File.

3. Design and build (week 4 to 7). Visual design across mobile and desktop, responsive build in Squarespace 7.1 or Wix Studio, schema markup deployment, image compression, Core Web Vitals optimization, and per-page meta. Two revision rounds at design, one revision round at build. Deliverable: Live staging site, password-protected for client review.

4. Launch and 90-day SEO support (week 8 plus 90 days). Search Console submission, Google Analytics 4 setup, custom event tracking on the conversion path, monthly health check across rankings and Core Web Vitals, and fix-it support for anything that breaks. Deliverable: Launched site plus a 90-day report covering rankings movement, traffic, and conversion data.

Pricing reflects scope, not negotiation. We do not run hours-based billing.

How we work.

Weekly check-ins on the same day of the week. Single approver from your side, named at contract signature. Two revision rounds at design phase, one at build. Loom walkthroughs at every milestone, written change logs in Notion, contract terms documented in a single shared workspace.

The cadence is deliberate. Web projects fail when there are six stakeholders, three opinions on every link, and a Slack channel where decisions get reversed weekly. One approver, fixed revision rounds, weekly written check-ins. That structure is how we ship in eight weeks instead of fourteen.

The 852 Promise. If your site is not delivered to staging by week eight, your final invoice is reduced by 10% per week of delay.

This SLA is unusual in Toronto. It disqualifies competitors who cannot match it. It also forces operational discipline we want anyway.

Case study: Illume Films.

Illume Films distributes Hong Kong cinema across Canada. Their site does not look like a marketing site, because the site is not a marketing site. It is a multi-job platform: a ticketing front-end for theatrical screenings, a video portfolio for press and sponsors, a membership signup for the Illume Society, a sponsor outreach landing page for brand partners, and a bilingual content layer for English-speaking and Chinese-speaking audiences across the GTA.

We rebuilt the site on Squarespace 7.1 with a custom IA that routes three different audience types (ticket buyers, sponsors, and press) to three different conversion paths from the same homepage. Schema markup covers Event, MovieTheater, Organization, and BreadcrumbList. Hreflang tags route 中文 visitors to the Chinese landing pages without losing search authority. Monthly impressions grew substantially across the first quarter post-launch, and ticket conversion improved on the same traffic.

Why 852 Tangram.

  • SEO from the architecture, not as a finishing pass. Schema, IA, and keyword strategy are settled before design starts.
  • Available in English, 中文 (繁體 + 简体), and 한국어. Multilingual sites with proper hreflang and per-language SEO, not Google Translate widgets.
  • Fixed timelines, fixed price ranges. No hourly billing, no scope creep, no surprise invoices.
  • 90-day monitoring window included on Multi-Page builds. We do not disappear at launch.

Frequently asked questions.

Squarespace, Wix, or custom? We build most projects on Squarespace 7.1 or Wix Studio because they are the right tools for 80% of Toronto businesses: fast to ship, easy for clients to maintain, and capable on SEO if built properly. We move to custom or headless when there is real complexity: ecommerce above 100 SKUs, multi-region routing, or integrations the no-code platforms cannot support cleanly.

What happens after launch? Multi-Page and Bespoke projects include 90 days of post-launch SEO support. We monitor Google Search Console weekly, run a monthly Core Web Vitals check, and fix anything that breaks. After 90 days, ongoing support is available through our digital marketing engagements, or we hand the site over fully and you run it yourself.

Will I be able to edit the site myself? Yes. Every project includes a recorded training session, a written CMS guide tailored to your site, and 30 days of email support for editing questions. Clients on Squarespace and Wix Studio routinely manage their own copy edits, blog posts, and image swaps after launch. We architect templates so you can change content without breaking layout.

Do you migrate from existing platforms (WordPress, Webflow)? Yes. We have moved sites off WordPress, Webflow, Showit, and custom-built CMSes. Migration includes a 301 redirect map for every URL, content audit and consolidation, schema rebuild, and a soft-launch staging window so we can verify search rankings hold before pointing the domain.

How fast will my site load? Target Core Web Vitals on every build: LCP under 2.5 seconds, CLS under 0.1, INP under 200ms on mobile. We hit these on Squarespace and Wix Studio with proper image compression, font loading, and code minimization. Bespoke builds typically clear LCP under 1.8 seconds. Performance is in the launch contract, not a hope.

Can you build the site in multiple languages? Yes. We build bilingual and trilingual sites with proper hreflang tags, per-language URL structure, and per-language SEO. We design copy in each language from week one, not translate from English at the end. Available in English, 中文 (繁體 + 简体), and 한국어.
