What goes on it
What goes on a food sell sheet
We adapt head-office materials with Canadian product details, UPCs, case and pallet information and contacts, in English, French or Chinese as needed. We are based in Toronto and work with clients in Toronto, the GTA and Vancouver.
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Product | Photo, product name and a short description |
| Pack details | Unit size and weight, UPC, case pack, pallet configuration |
| Shelf life and storage | Shelf life and storage conditions |
| Ordering | Minimum order, lead time, distributor or importer contact |
| Proof points | Certifications and claims your team has approved |
| Support | Listing, promotion or in-store support you offer, if any |
Pricing usually goes on a separate price sheet, so the sell sheet stays current longer.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What should a food sell sheet include?
A food sell sheet is a one-page summary for retail buyers. Provincial guides, such as the BC government's, recommend product photos, short descriptions, UPCs, unit size and weight, case and pallet details, shelf life, minimum order, lead time, certifications and contact details. Many brands keep pricing on a separate price sheet so the sell sheet stays current longer.
Should pricing go on a sell sheet?
Usually not. The BC government's sell sheet guide suggests keeping prices on a separate price sheet, because a sell sheet without prices stays useful longer. That way one sell sheet design stays usable for months, and you only update a simple price list for each buyer, distributor or promotion period.
Do sell sheets need to be in French?
Federal bilingual rules focus on the product label, so English sell sheets are common for buyers in most provinces. Quebec is different: its Charter of the French language requires catalogues, brochures, order forms and similar documents available to the public to be in French, in print or digital. If you sell into Quebec, plan a French version from the start.
Can you adapt our head-office sell sheet for Canadian buyers?
Yes. We rework the head-office layout with Canadian details: metric units, Canadian UPCs or item codes, the importer or distributor contact, case and pallet details for Canadian logistics, and any listing or promotion support you offer. We keep your brand system intact so it still looks and reads like the global brand.
How long does a sell sheet take?
First-draft timing and delivery dates are confirmed in your written quote. Timing depends mostly on how fast product specs and approvals come back from head office, so we send a short checklist of what we need on day one. A sell sheet built from existing photos and product data moves fastest.
Do you design sell sheets for foodservice as well as retail?
Yes. Foodservice buyers and distributors look for different details than grocery buyers, such as kitchen pack formats, case details and recipe ideas. We design separate versions for retailer and foodservice meetings from one master layout, so product data stays consistent across both.
